PANIC ATTACKS

Anxiety is often associated with a set of physical symptoms: Muscle tension, rapid heartbeat, increased respiratory rate, headaches, nausea and vomiting, sweating...

During a panic attack, these physical symptoms are increased: the person may experience pains and tremors, a «racing» heart, a feeling of shortness of breath and «tightness» in the chest, «tingling», dizziness and a feeling of faintness or «unreality»...
The panic attack is associated with frightening thoughts about the eminence of fainting, going mad, or even dying. Understandably, the person feels out of control, trapped, terrified. Panic attacks start and reach their peak quickly, and they usually last between 5 to 20 minutes.
